This weekend, December 10th I have completed my new training for ashiatsu. Starting in January I will be offering it as a new modality in my practice. To those that are interested, I will be adding information as the time approaches. It's an awesome modality I'm very pleased and excited to add it to my list of things that I will be doing for people.

New Modality!!

In December I will be going down to San Diego to be trained in Ashiatsu!  It'll be a class in Deep Feet Bar Therapy (sounds so cool right?)  This will be good for all my clients (and you know who you are) who like very hard pressure because I will be able to deliver pressure without the pointy-ness of my thumbs.  Totally awesome!  The nice thing about using my feet will be the ability to adjust the pressure to however hard or gentle you want it.  And I gotta tell you, the spot between your shoulder blades is amazingly good with a foot.  Total bliss. I look forward to offering this as an alternative modality and will be sending out an email soon with all the details!

I have noticed that it really seems to take a LONG time to come back from any sort of surgery or illness....Please be easy on yourself when recovering.  I am sure you've all heard: "It's not going to happen overnight." but it's true, and whatever progress you make, however long it takes to make it, and even if you feel like you're going 3 steps forward and 1 back, it's where you're at, and that's okay. Just keep trying to get better.  It WILL come!

New Season, New Space!!

I have a new space!!!  I'm very excited.  It's big enough to put my Thai mat AND my table up and still have lots of room to move around.  The address is 515 NE Roberts Ave. Gresham, Oregon 97030 at Wilkutz Wellness Center.  I love the energy there and I know you'll love my new space as much as I do.  Yes, I will still have all the perks that make your massage special, (punch cards, warm towels etc.) and I will still have all my discounts, I just have a great new space to have them in.  See you on the table!

Back in the Saddle Again

After nearly 4 months of stress and prep for brain surgery, I'm done and back at work.  Slowly!  Thank you all for your encouragement and patience through this time.  See you on the table!

Insurance Update

I'm sorry but Kaiser is out.  I've tried to do them but there're too many Kaiser practitioners in Gresham.  So,  I will work on you, of course, but I can't bill them for you.  Also, I can do Safeco now as well, but ASH insurance, I dropped.  If you have an insurance you prefer to have billed, either bill them yourself or ask me to look into getting that one, and I'll see what I can do.

Insurance update

I am no longer working with ASH insurance.  If you have ASH and want a recommendation for another therapist, I'm afraid I can't help you as I don't know anyone else who is taking them.

Water water everywhere

I've noticed that now that it's rainy, people are wanting to slack off on the water intake.  Don't.  Water is very necessary no matter WHAT time of year it is.  Please continue to drink.  Especially before and after massage.  If you don't, and the work was especially vigorous, or you've not had massage in a while, chances are you'll feel icky the next day.  It's not the flu, it's not enough water.  Drink up!
