In December I will be going down to San Diego to be trained in Ashiatsu! It'll be a class in Deep Feet Bar Therapy (sounds so cool right?) This will be good for all my clients (and you know who you are) who like very hard pressure because I will be able to deliver pressure without the pointy-ness of my thumbs. Totally awesome! The nice thing about using my feet will be the ability to adjust the pressure to however hard or gentle you want it. And I gotta tell you, the spot between your shoulder blades is amazingly good with a foot. Total bliss. I look forward to offering this as an alternative modality and will be sending out an email soon with all the details!

I have noticed that it really seems to take a LONG time to come back from any sort of surgery or illness....Please be easy on yourself when recovering. I am sure you've all heard: "It's not going to happen overnight." but it's true, and whatever progress you make, however long it takes to make it, and even if you feel like you're going 3 steps forward and 1 back, it's where you're at, and that's okay. Just keep trying to get better. It WILL come!

Hey everyone, I've been back and forth with this issue for a while and have finally decided to say something. Body image! That opens a can of worms now, doesn't it? As a massage therapist, I have to say that so often I get people on my table that don't want their feet done, or don't want their legs worked on, etc. It has almost always turned out that they're not ultra ticklish or they have a rash or something, they just hate that particular body part and don't want it to be worked on because *gasp* I might SEE it!! OMG! One toe is longer than the rest, I can't stand it! (rolls eyes) Seriously people, everyone has a normal body and I've YET to see anything horrendous. So what if you have a spare tire? Your legs aren't shaved today? Oops. Big deal. I won't even notice. Please, PLEASE remember that you're on my table to put yourself in a better frame of mind. You will have trouble doing that if you are thinking bad thoughts about yourself the entire time. AND, I have YET to find anyone with feet so ticklish that I have to stop the massage. Everybody got it? :P So no more bad body image? Okay! See you on the table!

As of today, I am now listed as a preferred provider for HealthNet and Providence Preferred. Yay!! I will post the others as I do them, but for now, those who have asked that I get into these insurances so they can get on my table easier, I am now available. Have a great week and stay healthy!
